Lustenberger 1862 cleans up

One gold and one bronze medal. Our Lustenberger 1862 line was awarded two medals and other awards at the prestigious and traditional "International Cheese Awards 2016" in the English city of Nantwich thus ensuring a great result.

In the category of “Cheese Slice”, the Lustenberger 1862 fruity and tangy won Gold Medal and ousted the strong international competition in the other rankings. In the category of "Best Swiss Cheese", Lustenberger 1862 fruity and tangy also achieved a podium position and received the excellent bronze medal. In addition to the two medals, the Lustenberger 1862 aromatic and savory received a strong 4th place in the category of "Specialist for Semi-hard Cheeses" and Lustenberger 1862 sweet and nutty came in a great 5th place in the category "Best Swiss Cheese".

The other cheeses from Lustenberger and Dürst, which are available under the brand name LeSuperbe, were also able to win prizes in Nantwich. Among other things, Jura Montagne, the Château Heitenried and the Gruyère Antique each won Gold in various categories. The International Cheese Competition has been held in Nantwich since 1897 and is one of the world's oldest, most prestigious and most traditional cheese events. This year the 119th International Cheese Awards were celebrated and the competition was stiffer than ever with a record number of participants from a total of 5,000 submitted cheeses from 27 countries.
